The Principal Program Manager leads a large, multi‑stream data transformation program for a global institutional investment organization. This role is accountable for establishing and running programme governance, managing cross‑stream integration, ensuring delivery of complex data capabilities, and coordinating strategic dependencies, policies, and technical environments required for successful delivery.
The engagement involves managing the full lifecycle from Discovery through phased implementation, testing, and go‑live across a modern data platform with high regulatory, operational, and data‑quality expectations.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Lead full programme governance, including Steering Committees and Working Groups.
- →Manage scope, planning, risks, dependencies, financials, and executive reporting.
- →Drive integrated delivery across operating model design, data ingestion, data management processes, testing, and service operations.
- →Coordinate critical client‑side dependencies: data licensing, dataset access, metadata, policies, validation rules, and environment readiness.
- →Run programme‑level change control and ensure impacts are communicated and approved.
- →Oversee enterprise risk management and track progress using tools such as JIRA and analytics dashboards.
- →Shape and coordinate integration/testing frameworks, including automated testing and data validation.
- →Plan and lead major discovery and design workshops with SMEs across data domains.
- →Ensure smooth operational handover into BAU, including pipelines, data quality controls, and service readiness.
Requirements
~1 min read- 10+ years leading large‑scale, multi‑stream programs in data, technology, or investment/financial services.
- Expertise in data management including data ingestion, validation, data governance, mastering, metadata, and lineage.
- Strong experience managing enterprise‑level risks, change control, and critical cross‑team dependencies.
- Ability to run senior‑level governance forums and communicate effectively with executive stakeholders.
- Experience coordinating delivery across distributed engineering, product, and operational teams.
- Candidates must have demonstrable experience working with core investment data domains, including
- Investment Data & Domain Knowledge: Candidates must have practical experience across core investment data domains, including the end-to-end investment data lifecycle and working with Security Master, Price Master, Issuer Master, and Index/Benchmark datasets. Familiarity with identifiers, pricing workflows, issuer structures, and major index methodologies within buyside or institutional investment
Nice to Have

- Experience in regulated environments with elevated expectations around resilience, data quality, and operational risk.
- Prior leadership of multimillion‑dollar transformation initiatives.
