Responsibilities
~2 min read- →Lead the design, development, testing and deployment of UiPath automation solutions, staying hands-on in UiPath Studio and Orchestrator to build complex components, reusable libraries and frameworks
- →Lead the assessment of the existing Blue Prism estate: inventory processes, objects (VBOs), work queues and schedules, analyse complexity and dependencies, and define migration waves and priorities
- →Define the UiPath target architecture for migrated processes and map Blue Prism constructs to UiPath equivalents (VBOs to libraries, work queues to Orchestrator queues, Credential Manager to Assets, Control Room schedules to triggers)
- →Decide per process whether to migrate as-is, re-engineer or retire, using migration accelerators where suitable and redesigning to UiPath best practices (REFramework, modular libraries) rather than copying Blue Prism logic one-to-one
- →Plan and run migration testing and cutover: functional parity and regression testing, parallel runs, UAT, go-live, hypercare and Blue Prism decommissioning
- →Own technical estimations for migration waves, solution architecture, delivery planning and execution
- →Collaborate directly with clients and stakeholders to identify automation opportunities and define solution strategies.
- →Review solution designs and code to ensure scalability, quality, and maintainability.
- →Act as a trusted advisor to clients, providing recommendations that maximize business value and ROI.
- →Support business development activities through proposals, workshops, client presentations, solution demonstrations, and pre-sales discussions.
- →Drive best practices, delivery standards, and continuous improvement across automation projects.
- →Establish and enforce automation development standards, architectural patterns, and delivery frameworks across projects.
- →Oversee automation quality across all project stages, including design, development, testing, deployment, and post-production support.
- →Conduct code reviews and promote best practices around CI/CD, testing frameworks, and automation governance.
- →Act as the primary technical authority, proactively identifying and mitigating technical risks while aligning stakeholders, project managers, and engineering teams.
- →Lead the resolution of complex technical issues, performance bottlenecks, and production challenges.
- →Facilitate technical workshops and discovery sessions to translate business requirements into scalable automation
- →Produce and maintain migration documentation: solution design documents, Blue Prism to UiPath mapping, test evidence and runbooks
