EngineeringProduct Engineer

Expeerly is a reviewer platform that sources authentic video product reviews from a vetted reviewer community for leading brands, including Sony, Acer and Marshall. These reviews are then distributed to major retailers, syndication networks and our own social media channels. Our technical solution supports reviewer recruitment, content workflows, and distribution through a lightweight but scalable technical stack.

After three years of development, we have a solid foundation and are now ready to take the next step: completing our platform migration and launching Community Reviews, a new product surface with real commercial pull from our retail partners.

We are hiring a Product Engineer (all genders) who will serve as the central product and technology owner. This is the only product/tech role in the company of 5 people. There is an external Bubble developer available to maintain the current platform during transition.

Location: Office in Zurich (2-3 days / week in-office)

  • Complete the migration of our current platform to the new v3 stack next js / Supabase, building on a well-documented foundation that is already at a good inflection point

  • Build out Community Reviews as the first major feature on v3, in close collaboration with key retail partners

  • Develop new features in collaboration with key internal and external stakeholders

  • Ensure all workflows (reviewer, customer, internal) are maintained, streamlined, and increasingly automated to ensure high scalability

  • Monitor key product and platform KPIs and ensure the system runs reliably while maintaining the product roadmap

  • Lead contracted operations team with the goal to automate all processes and phase out contracted work to zero

  • Stay close to customers and reviewers, understand their needs, and support them directly

  • Take the technical and product lead in conversations and projects with retailers and distribution partners

  • Co-own the high-level product vision — understand market trends and opportunities in our space and explore product opportunities

  • Own all technical workflows, systems, and tools across the company — acting as our Head of IT & AI, with a strong focus on automating internal processes using modern AI tools

This role requires you to execute the product vision independently through AI-assisted coding. You should be comfortable with the following tools:

  • Cursor, Claude Code — how we build

  • Next.js 16 / React 19 — app routes, public player, retailer and partner APIs

  • Supabase — v3 database + legacy analytics

  • Tailwind CSS + Radix UI — strict atomic design system, no ad-hoc UI

  • Mux + YouTube — video infrastructure and streaming

  • Stripe — reviewer payouts

  • Sendgrid — transactional email

  • HubSpot — CRM and company sync

  • Bubble.io — legacy platform (maintained by external contractor during migration)

  • Vercel — hosting and deployment

  • Notion, GitHub, Figma — documentation, version control, design

  • You've built web applications before and have built the first apps with AI-assisted coding. You are comfortable owning a production codebase end to end

  • Familiarity with atomic design systems and structured codebases

  • Experience in product management or technical product roles within SaaS, marketplaces, or digital platforms in small organizations

  • Experience in e-commerce, retail, product reviews, or creator/reviewer ecosystems

  • Background in workflow-heavy or operations-heavy digital products

  • Able to lead technical conversations with CTOs/CPOs of retailer and syndication partners

  • Strong project management skills, with experience driving a product from requirements to launch

  • Hands-on, execution-oriented approach and comfortable in a lean environment where you pick up things yourself

  • Ability to deliver fast exceptional outcomes under tight budget constraints and ambiguity

  • Fluency in German and English

The role can be done 60% or 100%.
