- A licensed CVT in Illinois (Not required, but preferred)
- 3+ years of experience in a veterinary clinical setting
- Strong technical skills and comfort with urgent/emergent cases
- Proficient in medical math calculations (drug dosage/unit conversion)
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Experience in emergency or urgent care environments (Preferred)
- Familiarity with cloud-based veterinary software (Preferred)
- Interest in mentoring and leadership development (Preferred)
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Perform technical procedures including radiology, venipuncture, catheter placement, sedation monitoring, and laboratory testing
- →Assist in triage, patient stabilization, and urgent care treatments
- →Administer medications under veterinarian supervision
- →Communicate clearly and compassionately with pet owners about care and discharge instructions
- →Maintain accurate medical records and support digital documentation
- →Mentor veterinary assistants and contribute to a positive team culture
- →Uphold Scout’s standards for safety, empathy, and clinical excellence
- →Monthly team meetings
