Our client, a well‑established Mechanical Contractor with a team of 30 including in‑house installation crews, is seeking a Mechanical Project Manager to oversee HVAC and plumbing scopes on new‑build commercial and institutional projects. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced construction environment, understands mechanical systems deeply, and can confidently manage drawings, scope, costing, and field execution. Key Responsibilities Manage full project lifecycle for HVAC and plumbing installations on ICI new‑build projects Review mechanical drawings, specifications, and submittals to determine scope, materials, and installation requirements Perform take‑offs, cost assessments, and assist with estimating extras and change orders Prepare and issue RFIs, track responses, and ensure design clarity for field teams Coordinate with GCs, developers, engineers, and internal installation crews Maintain project schedules, budgets, and documentation Conduct site visits to monitor progress, resolve issues, and support field supervisors Ensure quality control, safety compliance, and adherence to mechanical standards Participate in project meetings and provide regular updates to leadership Support procurement, material planning, and subcontractor coordination Requirements Qualifications Mechanical Engineering degree (required) Minimum 3 years of Project Management experience in mechanical contracting Strong understanding of HVAC and plumbing systems in commercial/institutional construction Ability to interpret mechanical drawings and identify scope gaps or conflicts Experience with costing, take‑offs, extras, and change order preparation Strong communication and coordination skills with both office and field teams Proficiency with project management software and Microsoft Office Valid driver’s license and comfort traveling to job sites in the GTA Benefits Compensation & Benefits Base Salary: $70,000–$90,000 Benefits: 80% employer‑paid (Drug, Dental, Vision) Vacation: 2–3 weeks Gas Card RSP Matching: Use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) Artificial intelligence (AI) is not used to screen, assess, or make hiring decisions for this role.
