Requirements
~1 min readTo become an electronic security technician, individuals often pursue a Security Systems Apprenticeship, a nationally accredited program lasting around four years. Apprentices complete a Certificate III in Security Equipment while gaining on-the-job experience under qualified technicians Key skills developed include:
Electronics and electrical knowledge
IT networking and system integration
Problem-solving and diagnostic skills
Customer service and communication
Additional certifications or licenses may be required depending on the region and type of security work, especially for government or defense projects
