We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented DevOps Engineer to join our engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for building, managing, and automating infrastructure, ensuring reliable CI/CD pipelines, and maintaining system performance across environments. You will play a critical role in enabling continuous delivery, infrastructure as code, observability, and security practices that support highly available, scalable, and secure applications. This role requires deep expertise in cloud platforms, containerization, automation, monitoring, and collaboration across multidisciplinary teams. Your key responsibilities would include but not be limited to the following; • CI/CD Development: Architect, implement, and maintain scalable CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, CircleCI, or ArgoCD to automate testing, building, and deployment processes. • Cloud Infrastructure Management: Provision, configure, and manage cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP, or Digital Ocean) with a focus on scalability, cost optimization, high availability, and security best practices. • Containerization & Orchestration: Containerize applications with Docker and orchestrate with Kubernetes (EKS, AKS, GKE), including advanced concepts such as Helm chart deployments, Kustomize templates, and cluster auto-scaling. • Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Implement and maintain infrastructure automation using Terraform, Ansible, Pulumi, or AWS CloudFormation, ensuring repeatable and version-controlled infrastructure provisioning. • Monitoring & Observability: Establish robust monitoring, alerting, and logging systems using Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/EFK stack, Datadog, New Relic, or Splunk to ensure system reliability, uptime, and performance. • Security & Compliance: Enforce DevSecOps best practices by integrating security into the development lifecycle, managing secrets with tools like Vault, SOPS, and AWS KMS, and implementing IAM, SSL/TLS, and firewall policies. • Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity: Design and maintain backup, disaster recovery, and failover strategies, ensuring business continuity and minimal downtime in case of outages or incidents. • Collaboration & Enablement: Work closely with software developers, QA engineers, and product managers to optimize software delivery pipelines, reduce time-to-market, and enforce a culture of automation and reliability. • System Administration & Networking: Manage Linux-based systems, networks, and services, including DNS, load balancing, VPNs, VPCs, and firewall configurations to ensure secure and efficient connectivity. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent hands-on experience). • Proven experience (3–5+ years) as a DevOps Engineer, Site Reliability Engineer (SRE), or similar role. • Advanced proficiency in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, with experience in provisioning, scaling, and optimizing resources. • Strong expertise in containerization and orchestration, including Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, and Kustomize. • Hands-on experience implementing CI/CD pipelines with tools like GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, CircleCI, or ArgoCD. • Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Pulumi, or CloudFormation. • Deep understanding of monitoring and logging systems (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/EFK, Datadog, Splunk, or New Relic). • Strong scripting and automation skills in Python, Bash, or Go. • Solid background in Linux system administration, networking (DNS, VPCs, VPNs, firewalls), and load balancing. • Experience managing databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Redis) in cloud environments. • Strong understanding of security best practices, including IAM, secrets management, encryption, and compliance frameworks. • Proven ability to design and implement backup, disaster recovery, and failover strategies. • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex systems in production environments. • Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation skills to work effectively across cross-functional teams. ⸻ Preferred Certifications: • AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional • Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) or Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD) • Microsoft Certified: DevOps Engineer Expert • HashiCorp Certified: Terraform Associate • Google Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer • Experience with Advanced Tooling: • Service mesh technologies (Istio, Linkerd) • GitOps practices with ArgoCD or Flux • Chaos engineering tools (Gremlin, Litmus) for reliability testing • Advanced observability solutions (OpenTelemetry, Jaeger) ⸻ Soft Skills: • Ability to mentor junior engineers and promote DevOps culture across the organization. • Strong business acumen to align infrastructure solutions with company objectives • Adaptability in fast-paced, high-growth environments.
