Power System - High Voltage Test Specialist (R4728)
Quick Summary
Founded in 2015, Shield AI is a venture-backed deep-tech company with the mission of protecting service members and civilians with intelligent systems. Its products include the V-BAT and X-BAT aircraft, Hivemind Enterprise, and the Hivemind Vision product lines.
We are growing the Avionics Engineering team to support the development of the X-BAT aircraft. Our team is designing a flight-critical, custom avionics system supporting communications, compute, AI, power, telemetry and other essential aircraft systems.
Shield AI is seeking an Avionics Specialist or early-career Test Engineer to support the testing and verification of X-BAT’s battery energy storage, electric motors and high-voltage motor-drive systems. This position will be primarily responsible for setting up, operating, and refining battery storage and/or dynamometer-based test systems used to characterize energy storage, electric machine and motor-drive performance.
The role sits at the intersection of electrical, mechanical and test engineering and may be a fit for either a junior engineer or an experienced technician with strong, directly relevant dynamometer experience. You will partner closely with the Power Systems team and other cross-functional engineering groups throughout design, verification, integration and qualification.
This position is based in Dallas, Texas.
