OperationsOperations Manager

ShyftLabs builds AI that fits the way businesses actually work. Since 2020, we've helped enterprises turn the data and knowledge they already have into practical AI and Data solutions that drive real results.

Today, our 250+ data and AI experts serve 50+ global clients across retail, banking, healthcare, and more, delivering over $2B in business impact. With offices in Toronto, New York, Dubai, Noida, and Hyderabad, we're growing fast and looking for people who want to grow with us.

We are looking for a hands-on Business Operations Manager to make sure our India operations run smoothly. This is an in-office role, based in Noida, that owns the day-to-day running of our India business: office operations, compliance, vendors, and internal systems.

You will be the main link between the India office and our global teams, making sure the business in India runs well, stays compliant, and that our people are equipped with everything they need to do their best work. The role is based in our Noida office 5 days a week, with travel to our Hyderabad location once a month.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for global teams and leadership on all matters relating to India business / office operations.

  • Take overall ownership of business office operations, ensuring all business functions run smoothly and in line with company goals.

  • Ensure office facilities and essential services (internet, power backup, security, housekeeping, etc.) are reliable and well maintained, with issues resolved promptly.

  • Oversee vendor relationships and service contracts, holding vendors accountable to agreed service levels and costs.

  • Define, document, and enforce operational processes, and ensure teams follow them consistently.

  • Own the operations budget for the India offices, approving spend and monitoring costs against plan and budget.

  • Manage urgent, sensitive, or unclear matters with discretion and sound judgement, ensuring clear communication, timely follow-up, and appropriate escalation.

  • Partner with leadership to align priorities, drive accountability on action items, and implement operational initiatives that support the company's growth.

  • Support stakeholders onboarding and operational coordination where the India team is involved, ensuring a consistent and professional  experience.

  • Deliver regular reporting and updates to leadership on the performance, risks, and priorities of India operations.

  • Strengthen processes and documentation to reduce single-point dependencies and ensure operations remain consistent, scalable, and resilient.

  • Provide leadership with clear and consistent visibility into global operations, including ongoing activities, operational challenges, risks, and escalations, ensuring timely communication and resolution of issues across regions.

  • Take full ownership of assigned operational initiatives, challenges, and processes, driving them from identification through execution and resolution.

  • Proactive Problem-Solving: Anticipate operational challenges, identify potential risks and bottlenecks, and proactively implement solutions before they impact business performance.

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, management, commerce, or a related field; an MBA or Master's in Management is preferred.

  • 5+ years of experience in business operations, office administration, or a related role, ideally within a professional services, IT, or consulting organization.

  • 2+ years of experience in a managerial role, overseeing teams, vendors, or operational functions.

  • Proven experience establishing or scaling business operations in a high-growth environment.

  • Strong working knowledge of Indian statutory compliance and office administration, including labour law, PF/ESI, GST, and related processes.

  • Proficiency with standard business tools, including Google Workspace or Microsoft Office, Slack, and spreadsheets.

  • Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with experience collaborating with global teams across time zones.

  • Sound judgement, discretion, and diplomacy in handling confidential and sensitive matters.

  • Ability to work from our Noida office 5 days a week and travel to our Hyderabad office once a month.

  • We are proud to offer a competitive salary alongside a strong healthcare insurance and benefits package. The role is in-office, 5 days a week. We pride ourselves on the growth of our employees and offer extensive learning and development resources.

We're building something big, and we want you on the journey with us. ShyftLabs is an equal opportunity employer and welcomes applicants of all backgrounds. If you're ready to help a growing team run at its best, apply today and let's grow together.
