Plant Manager - Kardzhali

Together with your team, you ensure that products are being produced efficiently according to demand/orders at the right cost- and quality level.  You work under supervision of the Operations Director and in close cooperation with EMEA Engineering, Product Management, Supply Chain, Sourcing, Finance  and HR.

  Responsible for the safety of the plant

• →

  Ensure timely components procurement and equipment production output according to demand/orders with expected quality at target unit costs, within expected lead times

• →

  Ensure spare parts shipments to customers within expected lead times at targeted costs and margins

• →

  Ensure on-site inventory is being managed properly

• →

  Enhance productivity and optimize flows and scheduling, adapt and optimize processes and organization to reduce unit costs

• →

  Establish KPI’s and drive improvements

• →

  Ensure and improve shop floor work force flexibility (Skills Matrix and trainings)

• →

  Foster teamwork and cooperation between the departments Production, Purchasing, spare parts Customer Service and Shipping and with the interacting functions Engineering, Product Management, Supply Chain, Sourcing, Finance  and HR.

  Build up Eastern European sourcing hub for components for other equipment plants

• →

  Provide input for annual budgets, CAPEX needs

• →

  Own a vision and strategy for the plant and take respective actions for implementation

• →

  Lead certifications and audits by local authorities and/or company auditors

• →

  Ensure implementation of company policies and full compliance with local laws and regulations

• Bachelor or Master Degree (preferably in a technical education)

• Proven ability to deliver results and coach employees

• 2 – 4 years demonstrated experience in an equal position

• Experience and knowledge to source components in Eastern Europe

• Good verbal and written English (must have)

• Organizational and analytical skills

• Demonstrable leadership and change management skills

• Excellent knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel) is a must

• Critical thinking and problem solving attitude

• Decision making and ability to set priorities

• Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills

• Ability to work both autonomously and in teams

To qualify for this position, you have :

• An Engineering (or similar higher technical) degree with successful experience as a Plant Manager or in another relevant Senior Management role in a small to medium-sized manufacturing or production environment. Additional Finance/Business Management training preferred.

• A deep understanding of production outputs, budgeting, cost control, material planning and labor efficiencies.  You have a strong experience with developing talents and building teams.

• Solid problem solving, project management and leadership skills and you have the ability to motivate, direct and coordinate staff on all levels of the organization.  As an individual you are open minded, action driven, pragmatic and forward thinking. You have strong business acumen with excellent decision-making skills.

• You are fluent in Bulgarian language and English.

• You operate at the plant with occasional travel in Europe.
