Senior Full Stack Engineer

The Senior Engineer will build and maintain products for the Australian Superannuation sector as part of the client's digital product ecosystem.

The candidate should have strong knowledge of Next.js and React with TypeScript, along with C# and web technologies such as HTML and CSS/SASS. A development-focused degree or significant previous experience with development methodologies and best practices is mandatory. A reasonable knowledge of the Australian Superannuation domain is highly preferred, and exposure to basic accounting is desirable.

• Developing and maintaining software programs in accordance with programming specifications, including:
  • Strong C# development skills
  • TypeScript and JavaScript development with hands-on experience in Next.js and React (HTML and CSS/SASS)
• Experience working with REST web services
• Database design and performance profiling
• Building performant solutions that factor in platform constraints
• Writing detailed solutions based on basic requirements
• Liaising with Business Analysts, Development and Quality Assurance team members to clarify technical requirements and implement the required functionality
• Assisting with troubleshooting and diagnosis of issues and defects within the scope of the product's functionality
• Providing client support to address specific client needs
• Operating across multiple applications in a dynamic environment
• Participating in reviews of functionality from a technical and security perspective

• IT / Computer Science degree or other tertiary qualification related to development and/or development best practices
• 5 years minimum working experience as a developer using Next.js, React, C# and web-related technologies
• Desirable — Knowledge of the Australian Superannuation domain
• Desirable — Knowledge and development experience using the relevant digital product set

• Working experience in:
  • Next.js and React framework (TypeScript-based)
  • State management (e.g. Redux, Context API)
  • Server-side rendering and static site generation
  • C#
  • HTML
  • CSS/SASS
  • CSS libraries
  • Angular
  • TypeScript experience highly preferable
  • Experience with accessibility, responsive design, source control (e.g. Git, Azure DevOps)
• Experience with unit testing and unit testing frameworks
• Practical knowledge of JavaScript-based web server technology
• Strong SQL skills including knowledge of database indexes and performance profiling
• Experience with AI/ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn, etc.)
• Familiarity with LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.) and prompt engineering
• Knowledge of AI integration in web applications
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure
• Strong analytical, problem-solving skills and high attention to detail
• Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new technologies as required
• Ability to build solid working relationships with internal staff and clients
