The Marketing Operations Manager is an individual contributor responsible for driving the strategy, execution, and continuous improvement of marketing operations processes and systems supporting the CORP & PubSec Business Units. This role goes beyond executing campaigns — it owns the health of the marketing technology stack, identifies opportunities to modernize and automate operational workflows, and champions the adoption of AI-powered tools and practices across the marketing organization. The Marketing Operations Manager partners closely with Demand Generation, Product Marketing, Content, Sales, and Revenue Operations to ensure campaigns are executed flawlessly, while also pushing the function forward through process innovation, automation, and data-driven decision-making.
Own the end-to-end execution of integrated marketing campaigns and programs, partnering with senior marketing leaders to ensure campaigns launch on time, meet quality standards, and deliver measurable results.
Partner with Product Marketing, Demand Generation, Content, and Sales to plan, coordinate, and execute cross-functional campaigns, proactively identifying risks and process gaps before they impact delivery.
Manage day-to-day campaign operations — intake, audience segmentation, asset coordination, build, QA, launch monitoring, and performance tracking — while continuously identifying opportunities to streamline and automate these workflows.
Administer and optimize the marketing automation platform(s) [e.g., Marketo], ensuring campaigns are built to governance standards and improving build processes for speed and accuracy over time.
Maintain and evolve campaign calendars, production timelines, and operational workflows, apply process-improvement approaches to reduce cycle time and increase consistency.
Partner with Sales and Revenue Operations to align marketing programs with sales objectives, lead routing, and follow-up expectations; identify and implement improvements to the lead lifecycle.
Manage account-based marketing (ABM) operations within 6sense, including intent data, audience/segment building, and campaign orchestration, ensuring alignment with broader segmentation and lead scoring models.
Design, implement, and continuously optimize nurture and lifecycle campaigns, incorporating AI-assisted segmentation, personalization, content recommendations, and A/B testing to improve lead quality and conversion.
Analyze program and campaign performance using [reporting/BI tool placeholder] and AI-assisted analytics where applicable, surfacing actionable insights and recommendations rather than just compiling results.
Establish and continuously refine campaign operations best practices — naming conventions, QA checklists, data hygiene standards, and reporting procedures — championing standardization across the team.
Lead documentation of campaign execution processes and operational playbooks, ensuring knowledge is captured, shared, and easy to scale as the team and stack grow.
Identify, pilot, and champion AI and automation tools that improve marketing operations efficiency and effectiveness (e.g., AI-assisted QA, predictive lead scoring, generative AI for content or campaign ops) either by applying tools already available, or by building the fluency needed to evaluate and introduce new ones.
Ensure campaign tracking and performance data are accurate, complete, and properly governed to support cross-functional reporting and measurement needs.
Lead coordination for complex, multi-team or multi-system initiatives, serving as a key operational partner to senior stakeholders.
Collaborate cross-functionally to gather requirements, clarify operational needs, and support timely execution of marketing programs.
Actively drive the evolution of the Marketing Operations function — proactively identifying inefficiencies, proposing process and technology improvements, and mentoring junior team members on operational best practices.
