About the Company:

Our client is a rapidly growing commercial real estate firm based in Dallas, Texas, specializing in the management of industrial properties. Over the past 18 months, the company has experienced significant expansion and now oversees:

  • 100+ industrial properties
  • ~7 million square feet of space
  • 600–800 tenants across the portfolio

The firm prides itself on running a lean, high-performance team with a strong ownership mentality and minimal bureaucracy. Property Managers are trusted operators who own relationships, drive outcomes, and manage assets end-to-end.

As the company continues to scale, it invests in world-class offshore talent to complement its U.S.-based team-building a globally distributed workforce without compromising on quality.

About the Role:

We are seeking an AI & Automation Engineer (Operations & Decision Systems) to design, build, and deploy AI-driven tools and systems that improve operational efficiency, data visibility, and decision-making across the business.

This role goes beyond traditional machine learning. The ideal candidate will combine automation, data engineering, and practical AI application to turn fragmented, messy data and manual workflows into scalable, production-ready solutions that deliver measurable business impact.

Key responsibilities:

  • Design and deploy AI-driven tools, automations, and internal systems that improve operational efficiency and reduce manual work
  • Build and maintain data pipelines that ingest, clean, and structure data from multiple sources (CRM, accounting systems, property management platforms, spreadsheets, and internal files)
  • Develop decision-support tools (dashboards, reports, agents) that provide clear, actionable insights for leadership and operations teams
  • Identify inefficiencies across business units and translate them into automation or systemization opportunities
  • Create standardized reporting frameworks and outputs to improve consistency, accuracy, and usability across the organization
  • Build lightweight internal applications, scripts, and AI agents that integrate into daily workflows
  • Implement monitoring, validation, and iteration processes to ensure tools remain accurate, reliable, and actively used
  • Partner with operations, finance, and leadership teams to define problems, success metrics, and measurable outcomes
  • Evaluate and integrate third-party tools, APIs, and AI solutions where appropriate to accelerate delivery
  • Establish structure and safeguards around error-prone processes to reduce risk and improve consistency

Key responsibilities:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
  • 3+ years of experience building and deploying automation, data, or AI-driven solutions in real-world environments
  • Strong programming skills (Python or similar) with the ability to build scripts, automations, and lightweight tools
  • Experience working with data: SQL, spreadsheets, data cleaning, and structuring messy or incomplete datasets
  • Familiarity with AI tools and frameworks (LLMs, prompt systems, AI agents, or applied ML use cases)
  • Experience building integrations using APIs and automation tools (e.g: Zapier, Make, or custom integrations)
  • Exposure to cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and deploying simple, scalable solutions
  • Ability to quickly prototype, test, and deploy solutions with a focus on usability and impact
  • Strong problem-solving skills and comfort working in unstructured, ambiguous environments
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with operations, finance, and leadership teams
