Position: Financial Operations Controller - Systems Specialist

Compensation: $2000 - $3000 (Depending on experience)
We are seeking a Financial Operations Controller to manage our financial systems infrastructure and daily accounting operations. You'll be the financial systems expert ensuring seamless financial operations across our 25,000+ colony enterprise.

We control the entire honey supply chain from hive to shelf. Our operations span multiple states with 25,000+ colonies, state-of-the-art processing facilities, and products on major retailer shelves. We're expanding through acquisitions and need financial systems excellence to support growth.
The Opportunity
• Systems ownership: Lead QuickBooks, Ramp, ADP, and financial reporting systems
• Immediate impact: Optimize financial workflows for rapidly growing agricultural business

What You'll Do
QuickBooks Excellence (30%)
• Serve as company QuickBooks expert and system administrator
• Manage chart of accounts, financial setup, and multi-location configurations
• Handle complex agricultural accounting including inventory, COGS, and seasonal adjustments
• Generate monthly financial statements and management reports
• Troubleshoot QuickBooks issues and train other users
• Implement QuickBooks best practices and workflow improvements
Accounts Payable & Ramp Platform (25%)
• Manage all accounts payable processing and vendor payments
• Serve as Ramp platform administrator and expert user
• Set up automated AP workflows and approval processes
• Handle expense management, credit card reconciliation, and vendor onboarding
• Generate AP reports and cash flow analysis
• Optimize payment terms and vendor relationships
Payroll & ADP Administration (20%)
• Manage ADP payroll system for multi-state workforce
• Transfer hours from Homebase time tracking system to ADP for payroll processing
• Process weekly payroll for field and facility employees
• Handle benefits administration and compliance
• Manage seasonal workforce scaling and contractor payments
• Ensure compliance with state wage and labor laws
• Generate payroll reports and labor cost analysis
Financial Reporting & Analysis (15%)
• Prepare monthly financial packages and KPI dashboards
• Lead budgeting and forecasting processes
• Analyze operational costs and identify efficiency opportunities
• Create custom reports for different business segments
• Support audit and tax preparation activities
• Maintain financial documentation and controls
Systems Integration & Process Improvement (10%)
• Integrate financial systems for seamless data flow
• Develop automated reporting and workflow processes
• Support M&A integration and new location setups
• Train team members on financial systems and procedures
• Research and recommend new financial technology solutions
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 3-5 years hands-on QuickBooks experience (QuickBooks certification preferred)
• Proven experience with Ramp or similar expense management platforms
• ADP payroll system experience (Workforce Now preferred)
• Strong Excel skills including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and financial modeling
• Experience with multi-location accounting and inventory management
• Knowledge of GAAP and financial statement preparation
Preferred Qualifications:
• QuickBooks ProAdvisor certification
• Experience with agricultural or seasonal business accounting
• Ramp platform certification or advanced training
• ADP certification for payroll and HR systems
• Experience with financial system integrations
• Knowledge of food production or manufacturing accounting
• Experience supporting audit and tax preparation

• Problem-solving: Ability to troubleshoot system issues and optimize workflows
• Detail-oriented: High accuracy in financial data management and reporting

Work Environment
• 100% Remote position - Must have reliable internet connection
• US Business Hours: Must be available during EST business hours (9 AM - 5 PM)
• Collaboration: Work directly with President and operations teams via Slack, Zoom, and email
• Systems focus: Company provides access to all necessary financial software and cloud based systems
