A US-based manufacturers’ representative firm in the lighting industry is hiring a Lighting Quotations Associate to turn project specs and customer requests into accurate, timely quotes.

You will sit at the center of the quoting process, working between customers, the field sales team, and the manufacturers the company represents. Most days involve reading fixture schedules and specs, sourcing pricing and lead times, and keeping a steady flow of quotes going out across many open projects at once. Success looks like quotes that are accurate and on time, and a pipeline that never stalls because something is sitting unanswered in your inbox.

• Experience preparing quotations, or supporting sales, in the lighting, electrical, or a related technical field
• Ability to read and interpret fixture schedules, project specs, and technical product data
• Strong working skills with spreadsheets and business software for building and tracking quotes
• Proven ability to handle heavy daily email volume and several projects with overlapping due dates
• Clear, professional written and verbal English for daily communication with customers, sales reps, and manufacturers

• Direct experience in the lighting industry
• Experience cross-referencing equivalent or substitute products between manufacturers
• Exposure to commercial and residential projects, including hospitality work

• →Build lighting quotes from fixture schedules, project specs, and customer asks
• →Find equivalent products within the represented manufacturer lines when a specified item needs an alternative
• →Go back and forth with manufacturers to confirm pricing, lead times, stock status, and product details
• →Stay on top of a busy inbox and decide what gets done first when several deadlines land together
• →Follow up on open quotes alongside customers and the field sales team so projects reach a decision
