~1 min readA rapidly growing infrastructure and technology services company is seeking a Technical Project Manager with experience in structured cabling, fiber optic systems, and low voltage infrastructure projects to support deployments across the United States.
This role is ideal for someone who combines technical field knowledge with strong coordination and project execution capabilities. The position supports data center and commercial infrastructure projects involving fiber and copper cabling systems, physical infrastructure installation, pathway systems, and field team coordination.
This is not a purely administrative project management role. The ideal candidate understands how installations are executed in the field, can communicate effectively with technicians and clients, and is comfortable supporting both technical and operational aspects of project delivery.
The company is open to candidates based in Latin America who are interested in relocating to the United States following an initial remote onboarding period during visa processing.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- Manage and support structured cabling and infrastructure installation projects across U.S.-based data center and commercial environments
- Coordinate technical execution, scheduling, labor planning, materials, and site readiness
- Monitor project timelines, deliverables, risks, and field progress throughout the project lifecycle
- Support project execution from kickoff through closeout documentation
Coordinate and oversee work related to:
- Fiber optic cable pulling, routing, and organization
- Copper cabling installations including Cat6 and Cat6A systems
- Fiber dressing and cable management
- Patch panel and patch cord installations
- Rack and cabinet organization
- Cable tray, pathway, and innerduct installations
- Fiber termination and splicing coordination
- Labeling, testing coordination, and documentation processes
- Physical infrastructure setup within data center and commercial environments
- Review project drawings, statements of work, technical documentation, and site conditions
- Ensure installations align with client requirements, industry standards, and quality expectations
- Provide technical clarification and support to field teams when needed
- Coordinate with subcontractors, technicians, vendors, and internal stakeholders throughout execution
- Serve as a key point of coordination between field teams and project stakeholders
- Participate in project meetings, execution reviews, and operational planning calls
- Maintain accurate project documentation, updates, and reporting
- Communicate professionally with U.S.-based clients and internal teams in English
- Support field operations and site activities as required
- Assist with logistics planning, sequencing, and execution coordination
- Ensure safety, quality, and operational standards are maintained throughout installations
Requirements
~1 min read- 2+ years of experience in structured cabling, fiber optics, low voltage systems, telecommunications, or related infrastructure environments
- Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a related technical field
- Strong understanding of:
- Fiber optic systems
- Structured cabling infrastructure
- Copper and fiber installations
- Cable routing and pathway systems
- Rack and cabinet organization
- Patch panel and patch cord installations
- Familiarity with:
- OTDR testing concepts
- Fiber testing processes
- Power meter usage
- TIA/EIA and BICSI standards
- Ability to read and interpret:
- Technical drawings
- Scope documents
- Installation plans
- Infrastructure requirements
- Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong organizational and follow-through abilities
- Comfortable managing multiple moving priorities in fast-paced environments
- Comfortable working with project tracking systems, documentation tools, and operational software
- Willingness to relocate to the United States and travel as needed
- Proactive mindset with a strong sense of ownership and accountability
Requirements

- Experience coordinating technicians, subcontractors, or installation crews
- Exposure to project closeout documentation and testing deliverables
- Experience supporting U.S.-based clients or infrastructure projects
- Familiarity with project management methodologies and workflow systems
- Industry certifications such as BICSI, OSHA, or PMP are a plus
