Maintenance Worker 3

St. Joseph's Center is looking for a skilled Maintenance Worker to join our team! The Maintenance Worker will play an important role in keeping our facilities safe and well-maintained to support our residents and staff. This position offers an opportunity to make a difference by supporting an organization dedicated to serving others.

This position is full time 1st shift position. Occasionally employee may be asked to cover a 2nd, 3rd, or weekend shift. The position involves maintenance of buildings, grounds, and company vehicles as directed by a maintenance supervisor

• →Perform general maintenance and custodial duties across buildings and grounds
• →Respond to maintenance requests and emergency situations quickly and efficiently
• →Use and maintain tools, equipment, and vehicles safely and properly
• →Identify and report repair needs or safety concerns
• →Assist with skilled work such as electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and HVAC repairs
• →Help maintain building security, including checks of doors, windows, and grounds
• →Support cleanliness by handling trash removal and supply deliveries
• →Assist with boilers, generators, and other facility systems as needed
• →Work with outside vendors and help order supplies when needed
• →Attend trainings and work as part of a respectful, team-focused environment

• High school diploma, GED, or trade school training
• At least 5 years of experience in maintenance, electrical, mechanical, or carpentry work
• Valid PA Driver’s License
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Ability to follow technical instructions and work independently
• Ability to stand for long periods and stay active throughout the day
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
• Ability to bend, squat, kneel, and perform physical tasks as needed
