Engineering at StackAdapt: As an Engineer at StackAdapt, you will be directly involved in the development of our advertising platform, producing production level code that will have a direct impact on the success of our product. You will work with large data sets and have exposure to modern tech stacks around GoLang, Ruby on Rails, React, GraphQL and more. StackAdapt’s engineering organization believes in working collaboratively and cross functionally. We're seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer to help lead our growing full-stack engineering team. The digital advertising industry is riddled with interesting challenges as we continue to scale out our platform with a fast-growing list of customers.

There are the teams that are currently hiring:

Billing: The Billing team builds the infrastructure that powers customer billing, invoicing, tax integrations, payment workflows, and cost data across StackAdapt. Candidates will work on complex billing systems, payment gateway integrations, invoicing modernization, direct mail and email billing, and financial workflow automation.
Ivy: The Ivy team is building AI-powered experiences that help customers navigate and optimize complex advertising workflows more intuitively. Candidates will work at the intersection of applied AI, user experience, and large-scale advertising technology platforms.
Total Media: The Total Media Orchestration team is building unified campaign configuration and activation frameworks across multiple media channels. Candidates will help shape new cross-channel orchestration systems that make complex campaign setup more streamlined and scalable.
Insights: The Insights team is focused on building platform features that help users analyze their data and surface actionable ideas to improve their campaigns performance.
Orchestration: The Orchestration Flows team builds automated customer journey workflows that connect programmatic advertising, email, and direct mail actions. Candidates will work on triggers, journey mapping, split testing, cadence logic, pre-built templates, and multi-channel automation flows.
Creatives Library: The Creatives Team at StackAdapt is on a mission to build a one-stop-shop solution for advertisers' creative production and management needs. We're developing a comprehensive in-house tool that enables clients to create, enhance, preview, store, and manage CTV, video, audio, and DOOH ads at scale—whether using ready-made templates or building from scratch. By delivering a robust, full-featured in-house solution, we aim to reduce reliance on costly third-party creative providers and empower advertisers to move faster and more efficiently.
Developer Experience: The Developer Experience team improves how engineers across StackAdapt build, test, and ship software at scale. Candidates will work on engineering productivity, CI/CD systems, developer tooling, and platform foundations that improve reliability and accelerate delivery across the organization.

Responsibilities

→Plays a key role in consistently advising the team on pragmatic technical approaches to problems that encourage engineering excellence and developer happiness
→Can structure coherent and iterative actionable plans toward delivering effective solutions across the planning surface
→Plans ahead by strategically architecting scalable web APIs, component libraries and backend systems that serve the team roadmap goals
→Collaborate with stakeholders from Data Science, Product & Design and other senior engineers across the organization to identify and solve technical challenges that drive impact across teams
→Advise teams on technical debt consolidation in ways that efficiently service our business needs
→Mentor the team and lead by example to uphold software development best practices in addition to conducting rigorous code and tech spec reviews
→Identify bottle-necks and general system-wide performance issues and offer actionable solutions to address them
→Be a significant individual contributor and a key asset in delivering critical projects that ultimately bring value to our customers

6+ years of experience building highly performant web applications with outstanding UX
Knowledge of our full-stack technologies is highly preferred - React, Typescript, GraphQL, Ruby on Rails and Go
Extensive experience working with a test driven approach to writing code with one or more of our core full-stack (or comparable) technologies
Experience collaborating closely with Product & Design to design, implement and iterate on high impact end-to-end product experiences
Experience working with relational databases and key-value storesExperience analyzing, benchmarking and optimizing web application performance across the entire stack
Experience leading large scale modernization efforts to revamp legacy systems from start to finish
