As a Senior Sales Manager, you will handle high-potential [Gold] accounts and drive revenue growth by executing comprehensive sales strategies aligned with client KPIs. You’ll act as an industry expert, setting standards for sales excellence, CRM hygiene, and client partnership. This role is responsible for expanding StackAdapt’s presence among key Holdcos such as Dentsu, Hakuhodo DY Group, ADK, WPP, Publicis, and IPG, and ensuring StackAdapt is seen as both a self-service and managed-service partner for our clients.

You’ll collaborate closely with internal teams—including Account Management, Strategy, and Product—to ensure best-in-class client solutions. This is a senior individual contributor role with significant visibility and strategic importance in Japan’s business growth.

StackAdapt is a remote first company, however our Sales teams are regionalized. For this role we are prioritizing candidates located in Japan. 

Responsibilities

  • Identify, pitch, and close platform sales opportunities with top-tier agencies and brands, particularly within Holdcos.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive account strategies that drive both short- and long-term growth.
  • Build strong multi-stakeholder relationships across seniority levels in client organizations.
  • Consistently exceed sales targets through effective pipeline management and forecasting accuracy.
  • Lead RFP development, negotiation, and contract finalization for strategic accounts.
  • Integrate market trends and industry insights into prospecting, proposals, and strategic planning.
  • Represent StackAdapt at industry conferences, webinars, and client events as a thought leader.
  • Understand and communicate the value of StackAdapt’s cross-channel and AI-driven platform solutions across display, video, native, and connected TV.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Account Management, Strategy, and Marketing to ensure client success and growth.
  • Mentor and guide peers by sharing best practices in prospecting, discovery, and client storytelling.
  • Lead internal enablement or special projects that strengthen the Japan sales organization.
  • Maintain exceptional CRM hygiene and reporting accuracy.
  • Apply a methodical, repeatable sales process to identify revenue gaps and close opportunities efficiently.
  • Use data to uncover new revenue streams and drive actionable insights within existing accounts.
  • 5–8 years of experience in digital media or programmatic advertising sales, ideally with large agency networks.
  • Proven success managing complex enterprise-level accounts.
  • Deep understanding of Japan’s advertising landscape and key Holdco structures.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to tell a data-driven story.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Japanese and English.
  • Willingness to travel for client and industry meetings.
