The Enrolled Nurse will be responsible for direct and/or indirect nursing care of a patient or group of patients and will function under the direct and/ or indirect supervision of the Doctor whose practice the role is in.

The Enrolled Nurse will be responsible for assessment and care as well as the needs of patients and will be responsible for assisting Doctor during operations and keeping the operating room sterile.

Responsibilities

→Grade 12 or equivalent NQF level 4 qualification.
→Enrolled Nurse qualification.
→Current registration with South African Nursing Council (SANC).
→Minimum of 5 years as an enrolled nurse assistant.
→Post-Op nursing experience is essential
→Floor nurse and Anaesthetic experience essential.
→Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and patient safety.
→Knowledge of Infection Control & Prevention.
→To demonstrate an understanding of the surgical procedure by anticipating the needs of the multi-disciplinary team members
→Problem-solving, analysis and judgement
→Resilience
→Great verbal & written communication and presentation
→Customer responsiveness
→Professional flexibility in working hours while supporting daily business hours.
→Self Starter, someone who can think outside the box
→Proficient in Excel would be advantageous
→Ability to work independently and pro actively
→Solution based mind
→Assist Doctor in theatre
→Problem Solver
→Self Starter
