Senior Mechanical Repair Technician

The position will require the ability to trouble shoot and repair all major brands of gearboxes and electric motors.

 

Must be able to work first shift.

May be required to work overtime (more than 40 hours per week) as business needs dictate.

Computer skills required (word, excel, email).

Repair all major brands of gearboxes.

Able to repair and test electric motors.

Able to trouble shoot and properly diagnose failures of electric motor.

Able to remove and install bearings.

Able to use calibers and micrometers

Able to use multimeter

Able to visually inspect gears and determine pass/fail

Must have experience with mechanical equipment/repairs.

Must own basic hand tools.

Must be well organized and high level of attention to detail.

Must have basic understanding of mechanical prints.

Valid Driver's License and good driving record required.

Must be able to pass a drug screening and background check.

Root cause analysis training a plus.

Overhead crane training

Willing to travel for training outside the state of Michigan

Willing to travel to other Paragon branches

Regularly required to stand and walk. Frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, and squat. Ability to lift up to 45 pounds (light hand tools, etc.) Manual dexterity, repetitive motion tasks.

Location: Warren, MI

Compensation: Hourly rate based on experience level.
