MAIN FUNCTIONS

  • Lead test rack and infrastructure definition to ensure the hardware environment accurately simulates real-world deployment scenarios of our products

  • Design test clusters for new features to guarantee comprehensive coverage and early detection of defects.

  • Develop and implement robust test cases to verify functionality and system performance, ensuring the reliability of the product.

  • Design, establish and optimize automated test pipelines to streamline the validation process and accelerate the delivery of high-quality software.

  • Lead test case design and concept reviews, guiding the team to improve test quality and align coverage with product design goals from initial development phases.

  • Adapt testing approaches by learning and integrating new technologies introduced with each new product in the portfolio.

  • Manage release validation and reporting to provide data-driven insights and final approval for software deployments.

  • Drive company-wide adoption of DevOps best practices to improve automation, reliability, and deployment efficiency.

  • Define risk-based testing priorities to maximize coverage of critical features and widely used products while maintaining validation across the portfolio.

  • Provide fast, clear and actionable feedback on quality through efficient bug reporting to enable the development team to diagnose and resolve issues efficiently.

  • Facilitate debugging and complex problem-solving by collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve critical technical blockers.

  • Address customer support requests by reproducing field issues and validating fixes to maintain a high level of user satisfaction.

  • Drive infrastructure improvements and optimizations to enhance the scalability and performance of the overall testing environment.

  • Stay updated on core technologies and emerging testing tech trends through curiosity and self-learning, to drive continuous improvement and keep the company’s toolchain modern, efficient, and competitive.

SKILLS

  • At least 2-4+ years of experience in DevOps, QA Automation, Test Engineering or comparable automation-focused engineering roles.

  • Strong knowledge of QA principles, methodologies, test design techniques, and defect lifecycle management especially within Agile teams.

  • Experience working in Scrum/Agile development environments.

  • Experience with bug-tracking and test case management tools (e.g. Jira).

  • Proficiency in Python and other scripting languages, with strong experience in YAML-based CI/CD configuration.

  • Advanced proficiency in Git and collaborative development workflows as GitLab and GitHub.

  • Previous experience working with GitLab CI/CD pipelines and automation workflows.

  • Practical knowledge of Docker and test environment configuration.

  • Familiarity with test observability and CI-based test reporting tools (e.g. Allure, ReportPortal)

  • Strong interest and desirable experience in embedded systems, basic electronics and physical products through personal or academic projects

  • Desirable previous experience with test equipment and tools (e.g. multimeter, oscilloscope, power supply, etc.)

  • Foundational know-how of computer networks engineering concepts and communication protocols.

  • Desirable knowledge or familiarity with different communication bus interfaces: I2C, SPI, CAN, CAND-FD, LIN, FlexRay, Automotive Ethernet, SerDes, etc.

  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple test executions and deliverables simultaneously.

  • Quick learner with ability to grasp complex tech concepts and strong analytical and investigation skills for early-stage tech research projects.

  • Desirable experience in start-up or scaling growth environments.

  • Collaborative and patient, able to build strong cross-functional relationships.

  • Trustworthy with a strong work ethic and care for confidentiality.

  • Fluency in local languages and working fluency in English at intermediate level or higher is a must, basic German is nice to have but not required.
