OperationsProject Manager

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the implementation and rollout of a new payment processing solution across our SaaS platform.

This is a highly cross-functional initiative spanning Product, Engineering, DevOps, QA, Finance, Sales, Customer Success, and external payment partners. The Senior Project Manager will own the end-to-end program plan, coordinate execution across teams in Los Angeles and Bangalore, India, manage dependencies and risks, and drive the program through implementation, testing, migration, and production rollout.

The ideal candidate is a strong technical project leader who is comfortable operating in a fast-paced SaaS environment, can create structure across complex workstreams, and knows how to drive teams toward clear commitments and outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end implementation plan for the new payment processor, from planning and requirements through development, testing, migration, launch, and post-launch stabilization.
  • Translate program objectives into clear workstreams, milestones, dependencies, owners, and delivery dates.
  • Establish and maintain the integrated project plan and critical path across Product, Engineering, QA, Finance, and external partners.
  • Drive accountability for commitments and proactively identify when milestones or deliverables are at risk.
  • Ensure requirements, decisions, dependencies, and action items are clearly documented and understood across teams.
  • Coordinate execution across teams located in Los Angeles and Bangalore, creating an effective operating cadence across time zones.
  • Establish clear handoffs between U.S. and India-based teams to maintain momentum and minimize delays.
  • Facilitate working sessions, project reviews, risk reviews, and executive status updates.
  • Partner closely with Product and Engineering leadership to ensure technical work remains aligned with business and customer requirements.
  • Coordinate with the payment processor and other external vendors or partners as required.
  • Maintain a clear view of program risks, issues, assumptions, and dependencies.
  • Identify blockers early and drive them to resolution rather than simply reporting them.
  • Escalate issues with clear context, impact, options, and recommended next steps.
  • Track dependencies across APIs, platform services, payment workflows, data, security, finance, reporting, and customer-facing experiences.
  • Ensure critical decisions are made at the appropriate level and documented.
  • Coordinate integrated testing across Engineering, DevOps, QA, Product, Finance, Sales, Customer Success and business stakeholders.
  • Drive readiness for functional testing, integration testing, regression testing, UAT, and production validation.
  • Develop and manage a comprehensive cutover and go-live plan, including dependencies, owners, rollback/contingency plans, and success criteria.
  • Coordinate customer or transaction migration planning where applicable.
  • Establish launch-readiness criteria and ensure outstanding issues are appropriately triaged before go-live.
  • Lead post-launch stabilization tracking and ensure issues are resolved quickly.
  • Provide concise, transparent reporting on overall status, milestones, risks, dependencies, decisions, and upcoming priorities.
  • Tailor communication appropriately for technical teams, business stakeholders, executives, and external partners.
  • Surface risks early without creating unnecessary noise or escalation.
  • Create clarity when teams have competing priorities or conflicting perspectives.

Requirements

  • Experience coordinating distributed or global engineering teams; experience working with U.S. and India-based teams strongly preferred.
  • Strong project planning skills with the ability to manage complex dependencies and critical paths.
  • Experience working closely with Product Managers, Engineering leaders, QA, Finance, Operations, and executive stakeholders.
  • Strong risk and issue management capabilities.
  • Experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence, or similar project/program management platforms.

  • Understanding payment concepts such as authorization, capture, settlement, refunds, chargebacks, recurring payments, tokenization, and reconciliation.
