DP World, the fast-growing transportation and logistics leader that currently manages more than 10% of world trade, is seeking an experienced Road Freight Operations Specialist (National Groupage & Distribution) to join our growing Freight Forwarding office in Bucharest, Romania.

Responsibilities

→Minimum two years in groupage, national distribution, collection, control tower, domestic transport, or comparable logistics operations. Experience limited to FTL transport is an advantage but does not replace groupage and distribution experience.
→Strong knowledge of national groupage, collection, and distribution, including freight consolidation, hub operations, cross-docking, multi-drop deliveries, and multi-pickup collections.
→Good understanding of route planning, vehicle-capacity utilisation, chargeable weight, volumetric calculations, transport profitability, and cost structures.
→Good knowledge of PC applications and TMS platforms, with practical experience using Track & Trace systems and monitoring operational KPIs.
→Solid understanding of carrier management, Romanian geography, and key logistics and industrial areas. Experience in retail, automotive, FMCG, or industrial distribution is an advantage.
→English language skills are considered an advantage.
→Excellent organisational and planning skills, with the ability to coordinate high volumes of shipments, collections, and deliveries in a fast-paced distribution environment.
→Strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities, with the ability to prioritise effectively, make timely operational decisions, and manage exceptions through rapid corrective action.
→Clear and professional verbal and written communication, with a strong focus on customer satisfaction and service quality.
→A proactive approach to improving operational efficiency, controlling costs, and making effective use of available resources.
→
A collaborative, team-oriented approach and the ability to work effectively with multiple internal departments, carriers, customers, and external operational partners.
