Truck Driver - Night Shift

Job Purpose

An exciting opportunity for a MC Truck Driver to join our team!

We are looking for an MC Truck Driver with experience in carting Full Containers. This is a night shift role, with a start time of 4pm.  

A current MSIC is mandatory, and ADOUBLE experience is required.

Key Accountabilities

• Shuttling Full Exports and Imports in the Port Precinct 

• Shuttling Empty containers around the Port precinct 

• Delivering containers to customer sites in metro and regional/rural areas

• Performing pre-start equipment checks, fault reporting and weight scale calibration

• Assistance with management of Chain of Responsibility and compliance as a Truck Driver

• Managing driver time sheets and load data to a high standard 

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

The successful candidate will possess the following:

• Current MC licence

• Current MSIC

• Safe driving record 

• Previous experience in container truck driving – A-Doubles, including reversing and breaking down trailers 

• Knowledge of all Empty Parks and Terminals in Sydney 

• Current knowledge of Chain of Responsibility (CoR) requirements

• Previous experience using MTData and electronic work diary technology highly desired

• High regard for vehicle cleanliness and personal presentation 

• Current knowledge of legal weight limits and correct load positions

• Be physically fit and capable of passing a pre-employment medical assessment including drug and alcohol screening
