IATF Quality Engineer - Alpena Area

• →Lead internal audits and coordinate external certification and customer audits.
• →Investigate customer complaints and production nonconformances using root cause methods.
• →Write and maintain control plans, PFMEAs, and inspection standards.
• →Track quality metrics such as PPM, scrap, and first pass yield and report trends.
• →Support corrective and preventive action processes and verify effectiveness.
• →Train production and inspection staff on quality procedures and standards.
• →Work with suppliers on incoming quality issues and corrective actions.
• →Maintain and update the quality management system to meet IATF 16949 requirements.

• Root cause analysis skills using 8D, 5 Why, and fishbone methods.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and interpret dimensional requirements.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for cross functional work.
• Experience with IATF 16949 and ISO 9001 quality systems in automotive manufacturing.
• Knowledge of core quality tools including APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, and SPC.
• Experience leading internal audits and supporting customer or certification audits.

• Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
• Familiarity with customer specific requirements from automotive OEMs.
• Experience with Minitab or similar statistical analysis software.
• Certified IATF 16949 internal auditor.
• Experience with CMM or other measurement equipment programming.
