Welding Engineer - East Lansing Area

• →Develop and optimize welding procedures and parameters for various manufacturing processes.
• →Conduct root cause analysis for welding defects and implement corrective actions.
• →Evaluate and select appropriate welding equipment, consumables, and automation solutions.
• →Provide technical support and training to welding technicians and manufacturing personnel.
• →Ensure compliance with industry codes, standards, and customer specifications for welding.
• →Lead continuous improvement initiatives for welding processes to enhance quality and efficiency.
• →Perform metallurgical analysis of weldments to assess mechanical properties and integrity.

• Bachelor's degree in Welding Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, focusing on welding processes and metallurgy.
• AWS Certified Welding Engineer (CWEng) or equivalent certification.
• Proficient in various welding processes (e.g., GMAW, GTAW, FCAW, SMAW) and their application to different materials.
• Strong understanding of welding codes, standards, and specifications (e.g., AWS D1.1, ASME Section IX).
• Experience with non-destructive testing (NDT) methods and interpretation.
