We are seeking a talented and driven Executive Sous Chef to join the pre-opening team at The Bristol Bol. Working closely with the Executive Chef, this role will support the day-to-day management of the kitchen while helping to deliver exceptional culinary standards across all outlets. The ideal candidate will be hands-on, highly organised, and experienced in luxury hospitality environments.
This is a seasonal position offered on a fixed-term contract.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Support the Executive Chef in leading and overseeing all kitchen operations, ensuring the highest standards of food quality, consistency, and presentation.
- →Assist in the development and execution of menus, recipes, and culinary concepts in line with the hotel’s positioning and brand standards.
- →Supervise kitchen operations on a daily basis, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
- →Lead by example in the kitchen, supporting the training, mentoring, and development of the culinary team.
- →Assist with inventory management, ordering, cost control, and stock rotation in line with budgetary guidelines.
- →Ensure proper implementation and adherence to standard operating procedures and kitchen policies.
- →Collaborate closely with the Food & Beverage and hotel management teams to ensure a seamless guest experience.
- →Support pre-opening activities, including kitchen setup, recruitment support, training, and operational readiness.
- →Step in for the Executive Chef as required, ensuring continuity of operations and leadership.
Requirements
~1 min read- Proven experience as an Executive Sous Chef or Senior Sous Chef within a luxury hotel or high-end restaurant environment.
- Previous pre-opening experience is a plus.
- Strong culinary skills with a passion for quality, consistency, and innovation.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities and experience managing and motivating kitchen teams.
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
- Ability to perform in a fast-paced, high-standard kitchen environment.
- Fluency in English and a Balkan language is required; additional languages are a plus.
