Lead Driver (Houston)

We are looking for a motivated Lead Driver who wants to do more than just drive a truck. This is an opportunity to be entrepreneurial and take on a key role with one of Houston's leading dumpster rental companies. As this business grows you do to.

The right person will be dependable, professional, customer-focused, and willing to take ownership when challenges arise. You will work closely with management and the inside office. Additionally, you will play an important role in both our daily operations and continued growth.

 

• Safely operate our trucks and provide professional dumpster delivery and pickup service
• Serve as a lead driver and help resolve day-to-day operational issues in the field
• Train all new hires on truck operations and safety requirements
• Fill in and assist with dispatch when needed
• Communicate with customers and help ensure every customer receives a 5-star experience
• Build relationships with contractors, businesses, property managers, and other potential customers
• Participate in a local BNI networking group and represent the company professionally
• Identify new business opportunities and help turn relationships into new customers
• Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing customers
• Help management improve routes, scheduling, communication, and overall operational efficiency
• Backfill for dispatch when team members are out
• Step up wherever needed to help the team succeed

 

• Valid Class B CDL driver's license with a clean driving record
• Ability to pass a DOT physical, drug screening, and background/MVR check
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Comfortable using a smartphone for dispatch and route communication
• Self-starter who can identify problems and take initiative to solve them
• Professional appearance and demeanor for customer-facing and networking situations
• Ability to lift/move 50lbs and work outdoors in varying weather conditions
