Responsibilities

Drive Salvation Army truck/van to collect donations as scheduled.
Distribute donations to appropriate departments and programs.
Oversee safe loading and unloading of vehicles, ensuring the safety of employees and volunteers.
Interact with donors in a positive, professional, and friendly manner.
Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment as authorized.

Assist with weekly food preparation and meal service in accordance with all Health Department food safety, sanitation, and food handling standards.
Serve meals to community members and program participants.
Provide leadership and oversight of kitchen operations in the absence of the Food Programs Manager.
Maintain proper food storage procedures for cold, frozen, and dry goods, including management of leftovers.
Maintain sanitation and cleanliness throughout the kitchen, dining, storage, refrigeration, and freezer areas.
