Project Engineer I
Quick Summary

The Project Engineer I is responsible for managing all aspects of project assignments using the Product Development Process (PDP) as a guide to achieve project objectives for New Product Development projects. Responsible for product maintenance, cost improvement, quality improvement and similar projects. Directs and coordinates a project team in the planning, organization, implementation, and completion of engineering project assignments.
This position will supports Rheem North America, located in Fort Smith, Arkansas. This is a hybrid position.
- Project Planning and Resource Allocation: (a) Lead and manage engineering projects, including project planning and resource allocation; (b) Collaborate with stakeholders to understand project requirements and goals.
- Detailed Project Planning: (a) Develop detailed project plans that include a comprehensive list of scope, deliverables, schedules, and budgets; (b) Monitor project progress and adjust plans as needed.
- Team Coordination: (a) Coordinate and oversee the work of project team members; (b) Delegate tasks based on individual skill sets and abilities to ensure efficient project completion.
- Progress Reporting: (a) Prepare and present progress reports to stakeholders and clients; (b) Keep track of all site safety and legal requirements.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- A Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field is typically required.
- Field and project planning experience.
- A valid engineering license is beneficial.
- Excellent computer literacy and knowledge of design and visualization software.
- Ability to work with multiple discipline projects.
- Strong project management and supervision skills.
