CONSULTANCY: Agrometeorologist – Adaptation of Online Course for Hispanophone Learners (English to Spanish) SSA-2026-SS-SSCD-3

This consultancy supports the adaptation to local contexts of an online agrometeorology course from English into Spanish. Given the specialized nature of the subject matter, the work requires both strong language proficiency and domain expertise in agrometeorology, climate services, and early warning to ensure accuracy and contextual relevance for Hispanophone learners.

• →Adapt all online course materials (video scripts, slides, readings, quizzes) from English to Spanish for local contexts, ensuring accurate agrometeorological terminology.
• →Adapt content linguistically and culturally for Hispanophone learners while preserving technical meaning.
• →Deliver final quality-checked adapted content ready for upload to the online learning platform.

• Inception deliverable: A detailed workplan outlining the adaptation approach and methodology.
• First adapted Spanish version of the entire course, adapted to local contexts, technically accurate, scientifically sound, and learner-friendly, with consistent terminology across all modules, delivered for integration by the instructional designer.
• Reviewed final course: A review and validation of the integrated course produced by the instructional designer, confirming linguistic accuracy, terminology consistency, and scientific soundness, ready for upload to the online learning platform.
