This position is part of Operations organization within Vertiv Technology Malaysia plant in Senai (Custom IS Power module, SmartRun).
A team leader leads a group of electrical and mechanical installers

Responsibilities

→Manage day-to-day activities of the team/group of workers
→Execute production plan
→Assign tasks to team members, based on skills and availability according to the production plan
→Assure team members have necessary tools, documentation and material needed for task competition
→Prepare workorders and materials needed for production plan execution
→Prepare and distribute necessary documentation needed for assembly activity
→Responsible for safety within the team/production line
→Responsible for performance (execution) of the given production plan
→Responsible for the quality of work on the production line
→Lead daily line coordination meetings – Tier 1
→Support End of Line (EOL) / FAT (Factory Acceptance Testing) activities
→Support packaging and loading activities
→Escalate to Supervisor if support is needed from other departments/functions (Engineering, warehousing, testing, QC)
→Administer work hours, overtime, days off for the team in appropriate systems
→Collaborate with other team leaders
→Participate in improvement initiatives/projects on the production line/within the Plant
→Participate in project, team or department meetings
→Communicate with the team relevant company announcements
→Provide mentorship and on-job training to team members
→Participate in other initiatives/projects/improvements on the production line/within the Plant within the scope of work
→Involvement in Kaizen/Continuous improvement
→Responsibility for 5S System in Production

Requirements

High school education – Qualified worker (electrical, mechanical)
Required experience – a minimum of 3 years on similar positions within the industry
Operating with different hand tools/machines
Technical knowledge – drawings, materials, machining, assembly methods
Basic English skills
Basic computer skills - MS Office (outlook, excel)
Teamwork, Attention to detail, creativity
Organizational and communication skills, leadership, task delegation
Optional requirements:
- Forklift operator
- Lifting platform operator
- Crane operator
- Working at height
- Certification – electrical installation, machining, welding etc..
