We are looking for an experienced Supplier Quality Engineer – Welding & Piping to ensure compliance with quality standards throughout the manufacturing, assembly, and inspection of welded structures and piping systems. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining welding quality requirements, supporting audits, managing quality documentation, and driving continuous improvement across production processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with ISO 3834-2 requirements and applicable welding standards.
  • Review and maintain welding quality documentation, procedures, and records.
  • Support qualification and surveillance of welding processes, WPSs, WPQRs, and welder certifications.
  • Perform and coordinate inspections of welded assemblies and piping systems.
  • Participate in internal, customer, and supplier quality audits.
  • Monitor manufacturing activities to ensure adherence to quality requirements and specifications.
  • Analyze non-conformities and coordinate corrective and preventive actions.
  • Collaborate closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Project teams.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to welding and fabrication quality.
  • Assist in the preparation and review of quality plans, inspection and test plans (ITPs), and quality reports.

Qualifications & Experience Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Quality Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • Experience in a quality engineering role within manufacturing, fabrication, welding, or piping environments.
  • Strong knowledge of ISO 3834-2 and welding quality requirements.
  • Understanding of welding processes, weld inspections, and non-destructive testing (NDT).
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, manufacturing documentation, and specifications.
  • Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Nice to Have

  • Knowledge of quality standards such as ISO 9001, EN ISO 5817, EN 13480, ASME B31.3, or similar.
  • Welding Engineer/Inspector certification.
  • Experience with supplier quality management.
  • Familiarity with quality tools such as:
    • 8D
    • FMEA
    • SPC
    • Root Cause Analysis
    • Six Sigma

The anticipated salary range for this role in the Nové Mesto nad Váhom locality is between 25 200€ to 31 500€ gross per year —salary ranges for other geographic localities may vary. Certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including merit increases, annual bonus and stock. These awards are allocated based on individual performance and are role based. In addition, certain roles also have the opportunity to earn sales incentives based on revenue or utilization, depending on the terms of the plan and the employee’s role. Compensation ranges are determined based on objective, gender-neutral criteria including skills, experience, and job responsibilities. In addition to the salary listed above, a detailed overview of additional compensation, including bonuses and benefits, will be provided during the initial interview.
