Cash Operations Specialist

Veta Virtual is hiring a Cash Operations Specialist for one of our high growth clients in the fintech and cryptocurrency industry. This is not a routine data entry role. This is a detail driven finance position for someone who can own daily cash positions, bank reconciliations, and liquidity with precision, and who is comfortable working closely with accounting, treasury, and payroll teams to keep every number accurate and every deadline met.

🔑 Your Role:

As a Cash Operations Specialist, you will be responsible for managing, reconciling, and optimizing daily cash positions, bank transactions, and liquidity for a fintech and cryptocurrency platform operating thousands of kiosks across multiple international markets. You will work closely with Accounting, Treasury, and Accounts Payable teams to ensure financial completeness, accuracy, and timely month-end close delivery. Your day-to-day will involve:

• Allocating and recording cash payments accurately across accounts, ensuring every transaction is captured completely and in line with internal accounting standards and procedures.
• Owning the accounting completeness and reconciliation of transactions and related accounts.
• Creating and parking general ledger journals tied to bank statement transactions.
• Managing relationships and accounting transactions related to the company's banking activity.
• Handling any other financial accounting and cash operations work needed to deliver month end close on schedule.
• Preparing monthly bank reconciliations with appropriate supporting documentation.
• Owning balance sheet general ledger accounts and their monthly reconciliation.
• Resolving historic queries related to cash.
• Reporting on performance and process KPIs for the department.
• Managing audit and tax queries, providing clear accounting explanations and documentation when required.

✅ What You'll Need:

• 1 to 3 years of experience in treasury operations, accounting, or banking.
• Hands on experience with bank reconciliations.
• Solid knowledge of accounting principles and business concepts.
• A working appreciation of core financial accounting standards, policies, processes, and systems.
• Strong numeracy and analytical skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
• Strong work ethic and the ability to work independently in a fast paced environment.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholder demands while meeting deadlines.
• Comfort and proficiency using AI tools to support reconciliation, reporting, and daily productivity is a strong plus.
• Bonus: basic knowledge of cryptocurrency and blockchain.
• To be considered for this role, you must currently be based in Latin America (LATAM) or Europe.
