Café Assistant-Kitchen Assistant at Furukroa Kafe

We are looking for outgoing and enthusiastic café assistants/kitchen assistants with a positive attitude! Furukroa Café is part of the Flåmsbrygga concept and serves lunch and dinner to local and international guests all year round. The café is colorful, modern, and welcoming, with beautiful views of the pier and the fjord.

We are looking for someone who

• Is over 18 years old (due to alcohol service regulations)
• Speaks English and/or a Scandinavian language
• Has a strong service mindset
• Is outgoing, engaged, and service-minded with a positive attitude
• Is structured, organized, and solution-oriented
• Thrives in a fast-paced environment and is hardworking and flexible
• Is able to work day, evening, and weekend shifts according to a schedule
• Has valid work permit in Norway (EU-citizens only)
  

Your responsibilities will include

• Serve customers at the counter and register
• Prepare hot and cold food, sandwiches, and cakes
• Clean, organize and restock
• Work with closing routines and cash register reconciliation

Accommodation

The company offers staff accommodation to our team members. Rooms may be private or shared, depending on availability. Common areas such as kitchens, bathrooms, living spaces, and outdoor areas are shared with colleagues. Living in staff accommodation is a social and multicultural experience. We are therefore looking for people who are respectful, tolerant, patient, and cooperative, and who feel comfortable sharing spaces and everyday routines with others.

This type of accommodation is best suited for those who enjoy a community-style living environment. Rent is deducted directly from your salary and includes electricity, internet and bed linens.
