As a Project Engineer at Ware Malcomb, you will support the delivery of innovative electrical engineering projects from concept through construction. You will assist in preparing electrical design reports and calculations, perform code research, develop complete sets of construction documents, and provide construction services such as site visits. This is a great opportunity to collaborate with clients, consultants, contractors, and our dynamic team while advancing your career in electrical engineering.

Complete computer and hand calculations supporting the electrical design, including load calculations, short circuit analysis, and voltage drop, utilizing applicable building and electrical codes while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail throughout all phases of the project.

Prepare and oversee the development of models, calculation packages, construction documents, and specifications for power distribution, lighting, and low-voltage systems.

Collaborate with Project Managers, Senior Project Managers, and department managers to plan project layouts and integrate electrical systems into cohesive designs.

Participate in internal and external project meetings, coordinating with other disciplines.

Conduct field work including site verifications, assessments, and troubleshooting of electrical systems.

Perform construction administration duties, including periodic site visits to ensure compliance with design intent and electrical standards.

Support the development and maintenance of engineering standards.

Participate in quality assurance and quality control processes within the team.

Mentor team members in the use of electrical design and analysis software and assist in task organization.

Lead and coordinate electrical engineering projects as Engineer of Record (EOR) when assigned.

Conduct peer reviews and prepare reports on findings.

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program

Professional Engineer (PE) license required

5+ years of experience in an electrical engineering role

Proficiency in Revit required
