As a Field Engineer based in our Albuquerque office, you will play a key role in delivering water, wastewater, and recycled water infrastructure projects that strengthen communities across New Mexico and the Southwest. • Provide field-based construction management and engineering support for water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
  
• Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and project managers to verify work is performed in conformance with contract documents and permits.
  
• Prepare daily reports and track construction progress, documenting key work activities, conditions, schedule issues, and QA/QC activities.
  
• Support the review and processing of submittals, RFIs, PCOs, COs, and other construction documentation, with responsibility increasing as experience grows.
• Assist in coordinating change management processes and documenting field adjustments for record drawings.
• Support field inspections, monitor contractor compliance with design intent, and identify and report non-conformance issues.
  
• Coordinate and track quality assurance efforts, including special inspections and third-party testing.
  
• Help ensure jobsite compliance with SWPPP requirements and safety standards.
  
• Assist with troubleshooting field engineering issues and work with project leadership to develop timely, practical solutions.
• Participate in construction meetings and contribute to communication among stakeholders to maintain progress and alignment.
• Stay up to date on industry practices and field-based project delivery methods.

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (any discipline) from an accredited institution, or expected completion of degree within the near future.
• Interest in construction management, field engineering, or infrastructure project delivery. Experience may range from internships and co-ops to professional engineering or construction roles.
  
• EIT certification is a plus. PE licensure is welcomed for more experienced candidates but is not required.
  
• Understanding of construction means and methods, project specifications, permitting, and contract documentation, or a strong desire to learn these areas through hands-on experience.
  
• Familiarity with construction administration processes such as RFIs, submittals, and change orders is beneficial but not required.
  
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook); familiarity with Procore, Bluebeam, or similar tools is a plus.
  
• Strong communication, organization, problem-solving, and time management skills.
  
• Ability and willingness to work in the field, collaborate with project teams, and engage directly with contractors and clients.
  
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel between project sites throughout New Mexico.
  
• A proactive attitude, eagerness to learn, and commitment to delivering high-quality infrastructure projects.
