Software Engineer Intern

We are looking for a Software Engineer Intern to support proof-of-concept (POC) technology initiatives and the maintenance and enhancement of existing systems. As a Software Engineer Intern, you will work closely with senior engineers and product teams to build, test, and improve full-stack applications that power WhiteCoat’s digital healthcare platform.

• Support the development of POC projects to evaluate new technologies, frameworks, and ideas.

• Assist in building and maintaining full-stack features, including frontend components (JavaScript) and backend services (Java).

• Fix bugs, improve performance, and enhance reliability of existing applications.

• Write clean, maintainable code and contribute to code reviews and technical discussions.

• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers in an agile development environment.

• Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

• Basic proficiency in JavaScript (frontend frameworks such as React/Vue is a plus).

• Basic knowledge of Java for backend development (e.g. Spring or similar frameworks).

• Understanding of fundamental software engineering concepts (APIs, databases, version control).

• Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment.

• Exposure to RESTful APIs, SQL/NoSQL databases, or cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).

• Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, or containerization (Docker).

• Prior internship, school projects, or hackathon experience in full-stack development.
