What will you be doing at Woodard & Curran?
 
Woodard & Curran is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Carlinville, Illinois. The ideal candidate will perform routine, preventive and corrective maintenance of right of way, streets, water distribution and sewer collection systems. 
 
Schedule: Mon-Fri 7:00-3:30pm with overtime.
  • Performing all routine, preventive and corrective maintenance assignments that are assigned by the project's preventive maintenance and repair program.
  • Performing housekeeping duties in the maintenance department and on maintenance vehicles as assigned by the Foreperson.
  • Performing all work in a safe and professional manner by following established safety, operating, and emergency response procedures.
  • Performing all work to produce an end result which meets all goals and objectives set by the project’s manager.
  • Must have high school diploma or educational equivalent.
  • Requires the ability to carry out verbal and written instructions.
  • Must have the ability to establish effective working relationships with other employees.
  • A valid Illinois State CDL drivers’ license is preferred.
  • Must be willing to work schedules which may include weekend or holiday duty, carry a company provided radio, and be willing to respond to emergencies at any time.
  • Ability to operate heavy equipment such as a backhoe, mini-hoe, skid steer, dump truck and street sweeper is preferred.
  • Successful candidates will be required to complete a DOT background check, DOT pre-placement physical and DOT drug screen before employment.
