Job Title: Development Assistant
Department: Office of Community Engagement
Student Employment Type: Federal Work-Study
Responsibilities: • Support donor stewardship efforts, including drafting thank-you letters, preparing donor acknowledgements, and assisting with stewardship tracking
• Assist with email and digital communications, including content drafting, list preparation, and basic reporting
• Help prepare materials for fundraising and stewardship events, including invitations, programs, signage, and follow-up communications
• Support event planning and logistics for spring Auction event, including data entry, guest tracking, and day-of preparation as needed
• Conduct light research on donors, partners, and sponsorship prospects to support development efforts
• Assist with maintaining accurate records in the donor database (Bloomerang), including data entry and updates
• Provide general administrative support to the Development Team as needed
Qualifications:

• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
• Interest in nonprofit/business work, fundraising, communications, or event planning
• Proficiency with Google Workspace; familiarity with Canva, databases, or CRM systems is a plus
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a small, busy team
• Experience in a customer service field or having a customer service mindset is helpful, but not required

Hours of Position: Operational hours of the New Reach offices are Monday-Friday 9am – 5pm. Applicants must have sufficient time available during the operational hours to work between 6-8 hours per week.
