This is a hands-on programme leadership role, providing delivery momentum, structure and coordination across a complex enterprise transformation. The postholder will work closely with workstream leads, PMO, Finance, technology teams and vendors to ensure delivery is controlled, decisions are progressed, risks are managed and programme outcomes remain aligned to the Data strategy.
The role will play a key part in delivering WPP’s enterprise data transformation, supporting modernised data platforms, improved integration and standardisation, stronger data governance, trusted analytics and AI-ready data foundations across the group.
What you'll be doing:
- Manage delivery of key Enterprise Data programme workstreams, ensuring scope, milestones, plans and outcomes are clearly defined and actively progressed.
- Work with the Enterprise Data Programme Director to translate programme strategy into clear delivery plans, priorities, governance actions and execution activity.
- Coordinate cross-functional delivery across data, technology, business, governance, analytics and AI enablement teams, ensuring dependencies and decisions are managed effectively.
- Drive progress against the integrated programme plan, working with workstream leads and PMO to maintain visibility of milestones, risks, issues, dependencies and critical path activity.
- Identify, manage and escalate risks, issues and delivery blockers, ensuring clear owners, mitigation plans and timely resolution.
- Prepare and contribute to programme governance forums, including SteerCo and senior stakeholder meetings, with clear updates, decisions required and recommended actions.
- Partner with Finance, PMO and delivery leads to support budget tracking, resource planning, benefits management and delivery trade-off discussions.
- Manage relationships with vendors, delivery partners and internal teams, ensuring commitments are understood, tracked and delivered against agreed expectations.
- Support change, adoption and business readiness activity by working with stakeholders to understand impacts, dependencies and transition needs.
- Promote consistent use of delivery standards, tools and governance practices, including the Transformation Delivery Framework, Wrike and agreed programme artefacts.
What you'll need:
- Programme or project management qualification desirable, such as MSP, PRINCE2, APM, PMI or equivalent practical experience.
- Data, analytics, cloud or enterprise technology delivery awareness desirable, including familiarity with data platforms, data governance, integration, reporting or AI enablement.
- Experience using planning, reporting and collaboration tools such as Wrike, PowerPoint, Excel, Power BI, SharePoint or equivalent platforms.
- Strong programme management experience supporting or leading large-scale technology, data or enterprise transformation programmes in a global or multi-entity organisation.
- Proven ability to manage complex delivery plans across multiple workstreams, stakeholders, vendors and geographies.
- Strong understanding of programme delivery disciplines, including planning, RAID, dependency management, governance, assurance, benefits tracking, financial awareness and resource coordination.
- Able to work as a trusted delivery partner to a Programme Director, providing clear updates, escalation points and recommendations to support decision-making.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to influence, challenge constructively and drive accountability across senior and cross-functional teams.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to turn complex delivery information into clear, concise and action-oriented updates.
- Good understanding of data transformation environments, ideally including exposure to data platforms, governance, master data, analytics, integration or AI-related initiatives.
- Highly organised, proactive and resilient, able to create structure in ambiguity and maintain momentum across competing priorities.
- Collaborative and delivery-focused, with the ability to build trusted relationships and support a positive programme culture.
