About the Role

This position will plan, budget, and manage hospital construction projects to ensure that goals and objectives are accomplished within the prescribed time frame and funding parameters. Manages a wide range of specialized Planning, Design & Construction services and projects in support of WVU Medicine and its facilities. Works with internal clients to develop project scope and objectives. Responsible for coordination of construction standards in cooperation with Facilities staff to ensure maintainability and consistency of project.

1. Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, Engineering or related field AND three (3) years’ experience in construction 
OR  Associate’s Degree in Architecture, Engineering or related field AND four (4) years’ experience in construction 
OR High School Diploma or Equivalent AND seven (7) years’ experience in construction.

Responsibilities

1. Thorough knowledge of standard construction industry work practices and procedures.
2. Familiarity with both common and highly specialized materials and equipment used in healthcare facilities.
3. Technical knowledge of design and construction in order to effectively maintain record documentation.
4. Ability to interact on a daily basis with individuals on all organizations levels.
