Heavy Haul Driver

As a Heavy Haul Driver for Yancey Engineered Solutions, you will cover all loads, inbound and outbound.

Primary Responsibilities:

• →Safely load and unload equipment onto assigned vehicles or trailers.
• →Transport to and from contracted vendors for tanks and enclosures. 
• →Transport to and from tank paint shop. 
• →Transport to and from CAT factor work in progress Gensets. 
• →Maintain safe driving record and follow all safety guidelines for operating and loading equipment including the use of proper PPE at all times.

Additional Responsibilities:

• →Participate in required safety program and work in a safe manner
• →Complete a Driver’s Safety Course.
• →Additional duties as assigned by manager

To be successful in this position you should have prior experience as a delivery driver.  A safety-first attitude and strong work ethic are must have attributes.  

Education/Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Required Qualifications/Skills:

• Valid, active  CDL license.  Class A preferred. 
• 3+ years of experience as a driver for heavy equipment transportation, general professional freight carrier, or heavy-duty trucking (e.g., wrecker, mobile crane). 
• Ability to read, write, and speak English. 
• Ability to clear driver screenings and provide necessary information for a complete DQ file, including but not limited to: 
  • Road Test administered by Yancey personnel.
  • Background check and MVR with less than 10 points. 
  • DOT Physical
  • Drug Screen 
• Must not be disqualified to drive a CMV under 49 CFR § 383.5 or 49 CFR § 383.51. 
• Ability to manage electronic log books and delivery software via electronic tablets.
• Customer service oriented with the willingness to go above and beyond expectations with a rock star attitude.
