Ranger, Revolutionizing Software Testing

We’re building Ranger to change the status quo of QA. Our mission is to power testing for the world’s most ambitious engineering, product, and design teams so they can get back to building.

How We’re Already Changing the Game:

Intelligent Test Generation

Leveraging advanced LLMs, we automatically generate reliable and efficient Playwright tests.

Self-Healing Tests

Our system proactively identifies and resolves flaky tests, ensuring consistent and reliable test suites.

Improved failure insights

Get automated failure reports with likely causes, and easy-to-follow steps to reproduce the issue.

Some of the fastest growing companies in the world (Clay, Suno, Dust, and more) use Ranger. We also collaborated with OpenAI, which you can read about here.

Join Our Team

To accelerate our mission we’re incredibly excited to announce $8.9M in total funding over two rounds of funding led by XYZ and General Catalyst. Among the many other fantastic backers, they are joined by some of our earliest customers (Clay Co-founder Varun Anand, Suno Co-founder Martin Camacho, Dust Co-founder Stan Polu).

Let’s fix the way software teams test their products. We’re embarking on an exciting journey and we hope you join us as Ranger leads the way.

Getting back on defense for each other: No one at Ranger works on an island. When someone needs to step out or gets overwhelmed, we reach out to help rather than look to blame. We always put the team above ourselves out of trust that our teammates would do the same.

Creative problem solving: we are an early stage start-up, everyone is expected to work together to solve problems even if it might not usually fall within your job description.

Pride in your work: it is still critical to be proud of the work you and your peers are producing. Our pride should stem from craftsmanship and the value it brings customers. Part of this is preferring code to be live over perfect and finding the right tradeoffs to get there.

6-10+ years of professional experience in software engineering.

Strong desire to lead, execute, and own their own projects.

Track record of learning new languages, technologies, and patterns on the job.

Comfortable working and reasoning across the stack - frontend, backend, and infrastructure.

Willingness to work a hybrid schedule with a minimum of 3 days in-office.

Experience at an early-stage startup

Experience with DOM parsing and manipulation

Familiarity with LLM APIs and experience using them in a production environment

Experience with any of our tech stack: Express+NodeJS, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Playwright, FFmpeg, GCP

An opportunity to influence company culture. We are just beginning to invest in our hybrid offices - we would look to partner with you to help establish our culture.

Technical leadership opportunities with an opportunity to drive green-field projects from infrastructure to frontend, ensuring its in our customers hands.

Trust, respect, and responsibility. We treat one another as the full people we are and trust one another to make decisions in consideration of ourselves, our teammates, and the company.

Note: Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.
