Be our next Senior Structural Engineer
EXP is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to join our growing Energy Group. This position may be based in either Tallahassee, FL or Houston, TX.
In this role, you will support the analysis, design, assessment, and rehabilitation of structural systems serving energy, industrial, utility, and critical infrastructure facilities. The Energy Group's work is heavily focused on midstream pipeline infrastructure, including terminals, pump stations, compressor stations, meter stations, storage facilities, and related support structures. Projects may also include facility upgrades, equipment support structures, access platforms, maintenance facilities, structural retrofits, and multidisciplinary infrastructure improvements.
The successful candidate will apply sound engineering principles to evaluate existing facilities, develop practical design solutions, and support projects throughout planning, design, construction, and commissioning phases. This position is ideal for an engineer who enjoys working on diverse industrial and energy-related projects while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams across EXP's North American operations.
Your work environment at EXP
In this role, you will be part of EXP's Energy Group, supporting a broad range of projects for pipeline, utility, industrial, and energy-sector clients. The team's primary focus is the planning, design, and delivery of infrastructure supporting the midstream oil and gas industry, while also supporting other industrial and critical infrastructure projects.
Working alongside structural, civil, mechanical, electrical, and construction professionals, you will contribute to projects that support the modernization, maintenance, and expansion of critical energy assets across North America.
The selected candidate will be located in either Tallahassee, Florida or Houston, Texas, and will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across multiple EXP offices. The successful candidate will be capable of working independently while participating in integrated project teams and mentoring junior staff. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical capabilities in structural analysis and steel design, along with an interest in solving complex challenges involving existing facilities, industrial infrastructure, and engineered support systems.
