Event and Operations Coordinator

We are seeking a proactive, highly organised Event and Operations Coordinator, working fully remotely, to coordinate logistics, schedules, and team deliverables for a live-music themed camp and milestone birthday celebration at AfrikaBurn, to take place in April 2027. Key Responsibilities Project & Team Coordination: Track project milestones across build, sound, logistics, and theme leads; schedule meetings and manage action items. Programme & Performer Support: Maintain the multi-day event agenda (including the main birthday party, gratitude ceremony, and daily singalongs) and coordinate artist requirements. Logistics & Budget Tracking: Assist leads in tracking off-grid infrastructure (power, water, transport, ablutions), maintain the camp budget, and handle vendor quotes. Guest & Official Admin: Help draft AfrikaBurn registration documents and create onboarding info packs for camp members and international guests. Requirements Experience: 2–4+ years as a Project Coordinator, or Event Assistant (festival or off-grid event experience is a plus). Skills: Proficiency in Google Workspace, project management tools (Trello/Asana), and WhatsApp/Slack. Attributes: Exceptional organisational skills, strong written communication, and familiarity with burner/AfrikaBurn culture.
