Responsibilities

Oversee daily trucking, yard, and warehouse operations, including dispatch, routing, load planning, and material handling.

Lead, coach, and develop drivers, dispatchers, yard personnel, and warehouse teams.

Optimize fleet utilization, equipment availability, labour, and operational costs.
→
Manage warehouse operations, inventory control, and yard organization.
→
Ensure compliance with transportation regulations, hours-of-service requirements, and safety standards.

Coordinate equipment maintenance and operational readiness.
→
Resolve operational challenges and customer service escalations.
→
Monitor operational KPIs, including on-time performance, productivity, inventory accuracy, and cost control.

Collaborate with Safety, HR, Maintenance, and Accounting to support business objectives.

Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, processes, and service delivery.

Requirements

Proven leadership experience managing operational teams

Strong understanding of transportation regulations, fleet operations, and safety compliance

Experience with transportation management systems (TMS), electronic logging devices (ELDs), and warehouse or inventory management systems

Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills

Experience managing operational budgets and performance targets

Knowledge of SAP Materials Management (SAP MM) is considered an asset
