Engineer II, Systems Reliability Engineering

As an Engineer II within Systems Reliability Engineering, you will help ensure the reliability, availability, and operational performance of critical Retail Technology platforms that support Levi Strauss & Co. global business. You will independently manage production support activities, resolve complex technical issues, and partner with engineering and business teams to improve service reliability and operational excellence across application and infrastructure environments.

• Manage production incidents and operational issues, ensuring timely resolution and minimizing business impact across Retail Technology services.
• Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions that improve platform reliability, stability, and long-term service performance.
• Support production releases, service transitions, and operational readiness activities to ensure successful deployment and ongoing support of technology solutions.
• Drive automation, monitoring, and continuous improvement initiatives that enhance operational efficiency and reduce recurring support issues.
• Collaborate with engineering teams, vendors, and business stakeholders to identify reliability risks, optimize platform performance, and promote engineering best practices.

• 6+ years of experience in Application Reliability, Infrastructure Operations, Production Support, Site Reliability Engineering, or Retail Technology environments.
• Experience supporting enterprise applications or infrastructure within a global production environment.
• Strong knowledge of incident management, problem management, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and production support processes.
• Experience with monitoring, observability, automation, and operational support technologies, including scripting and modern engineering tools.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
• Experience in Retail Platforms & Store Technology: Xstore, Xoffice, Point of Sale, ORCE, MPOS, RFID, Omnichannel, Retail Store Systems, Network, and Infrastructure.
• Experience in Enterprise Platforms (APIs, Azure, Databases, Endpoints)
• Experience in Observability & Automation (New Relic, Python, CI/CD, AIOps)
• Experience in Reliability Engineering (Incident, Problem, Change, SRE)
• Experience in Security & Governance (ITIL, Security, Compliance, Risk)
