The Cloud Account Governance team is the foundation of our secure, scalable, and efficient cloud architecture. We sit at the intersection of enterprise architecture, cloud security, and financial operations (FinOps)—ensuring that our multi-cloud environment remains compliant, cost-optimized, and frictionless for developers.
Rather than acting as a traditional gatekeeper, our mission is to build automated guardrails, streamline account provisioning, and deliver clear policy frameworks that empower engineering teams to move fast without compromising security or budget.
About the Role
~2 min readWe are looking for a Cloud Engineer to join our CloudOps team in Dublin, Ireland, to help optimize our multi-cloud infrastructure across our cloud service providers.
Sitting directly at the intersection of developer velocity, data visibility, and cloud security, your focus will be ensuring our engineering teams gain safe, seamless, and automated access to cloud environments. You will also leverage modern AI-assisted engineering tools (such as Claude, Cursor, and Gemini) to automate cloud lifecycle workflows, eliminate routine operational friction, and scale our platform infrastructure.
What You'll Do
- Support Cloud Account Lifecycles: Provision and maintain AWS Accounts and GCP Projects while keeping cloud environments baseline-compliant.
- Maintain Cloud Safety Standards: Implement policy guardrails and baseline configurations using AWS Control Tower, GCP Organizational Policies, and Policy-as-Code tools.
- Build AI-Assisted Automation: Use AI developer tools (e.g., Cursor, Claude Code, Gemini) to refactor IaC modules, automate compliance checks, and streamline daily CloudOps workflows.
- Enable Engineering Teams: Provide responsive, helpful technical support for cloud access, account structures, capacity adjustments, and identity setup.
- Collaborate Across Teams: Partner with Security, Platform, and Development teams to refine IAM practices and support cloud security without slowing down development.
What You'll Bring
- Cloud Platform Familiarity: Practical experience working with AWS (Organizations, Control Tower, SCPs) or GCP (Resource Hierarchy, Organizational Policies, Quotas).
- Infrastructure as Code & Scripting: Ability to write and maintain Terraform or CloudFormation, along with scripting skills in Python or Go.
- Identity & Access Knowledge: Understanding of core IAM concepts, Service Accounts, and Workload Identity across cloud platforms.
- AI Tooling Curiosity: Experience or interest in using AI coding tools (e.g., Cursor, Claude, Gemini) to write code, debug tasks, and improve productivity.
- Collaborative Mindset: Strong communication skills and a desire to partner with internal developers to solve technical challenges.
